About classic mini racing

built for drivers. driven by community

Classic Mini Racing brings together competitive racing with a welcoming paddock, and a shared passion for the iconic Mini.

Whether you’re here to follow the championship or thinking about joining the grid, this is where the story begins.

built around the driver

The championship may be new, but the people behind Classic Mini Racing are anything but.

CMR has been shaped by years spent in grassroots motorsport, bringing together experience from circuit racing, rallying and endurance racing.

We’ve built a championship around what matters most: close racing, plenty of track time and a paddock where everyone feels welcome.

It’s the kind of weekend that reminds you why you fell in love with motorsport in the first place.

shaped with Experience

Giving drivers what they need, want and expect from a well-run championship.

CMR wasn’t designed in a meeting room – it was built from years spent emersed in grass roots motorsport.

We’ve spent decades in paddocks and at circuits – as drivers, mechanics, supporters, organisers and volunteers. That experience has shown us what makes a championship enjoyable, and just as importantly, what doesn’t.

We bring that all together with a clear understanding of how it all fits, so we can deliver a championship that’s consistent, competitive, and built around the driver experience – so everyone has a great weekend, no matter whether you’re driving, or watching.

why minis…

Seriously? They’re iconic, familiar, and full of history – everyone has their own Mini story!

Small, nimble and full of character, they’re an absolute showstopper on track.

Far from aerodynamic, they rely on momentum with drivers racing nose to tail, staying close to pick up slipstreams.

They reward commitment, deliver close racing, and keep the focus on driver skill (and nerves)…

They’re a spectator’s dream!

more than just racing

Race weekends are something special! They’re like a motorsport bubble you escape to for the weekend, full of excitement on track and a real sense of community in the paddock.

The Minis often become the talking point of a race weekend. Marshals get involved, other series stay to watch, and even when the weather turns there’s still a crowd trackside – long after the burger van’s run out of chips and the thermos has gone cold.

Minis form battles right across the grid – groups develop, gaps close, and there’s always something to fight for wherever you sit in the pack – the action’s not just at the front. Whether you have years of experience or you’re making your debut…there’s plenty of opportunity to learn, improve and develop your race-craft.

Off track, the CMR paddock is open, welcoming, and easy to be part of – whether you’re racing, supporting, or just there to watch. People chat. They help each other out. Tools get shared, problems get solved. You’ll hear drivers retelling the race from different points of view, and having a laugh. Families stay for the weekend and kids enjoy running around the circuit on our evening track walks.

Great racing, great people, a great weekend of motorsport.

every weekend should feel worthwhile

We know motorsport asks a lot of people. Preparing the car. Loading the trailer. Travelling across the country. Giving up weekends for the love of racing.

That’s why we’ve built CMR around one simple belief: every race weekend should feel worthwhile.

For us, that means delivering a championship where drivers spend more time enjoying themselves than fixing problems. Where they can enjoy close racing in reliable cars, and where they can spend the weekend with family and friends in a fun and welcoming paddock – without feeling like they’re giving up the weekend at all.

Everything we do comes back to one question: Does it make CMR better for our drivers?

there’s a place for you

Whether you’re taking your first steps into motorsport, returning after a break or looking for your next championship, there’s a place for you on the CMR grid.
